Trees to be Relocated From New Reservoir Build

CityNews – Chiang Mai University has agreed to move the trees found at Tart Chompoo Creek and replant them at a new plantation while the land at Tart Chompoo Creek will be turned into a new reservoir.

The planned reservoir will displace 283 trees, most of which will be planted at the Ford Plantation, outside the 40 years dormitory and 22 trees in other places around the university.

The move began in February 2016, but is expected to be completed by May 2017.

This month marks the change from period 1, which was providing care to trees that have yet to be re-planted, to period 2, where trees will begin to be re-planted and cared for over the next year.
