Police discovered the group of youths who were acting drowsy and intoxicated sitting on the steps of Chiang Rai’s Central Plaza shopping mall at 1.30am on June 16.

The 9 youths aged 16 to 19 were apprehended by police who then called their parents to come and collect them.

Although the concoction is not illegal, the consumption of such drug cocktails is deemed dangers and anti-social by authorities, who alert parents to their child’s actions rather than formally arresting them for drug abuse.

Drinking too much of the drug cocktail can lead to organ failure and even death.

The drug cocktail, colloquially known as ‘Pro Drugs’, was seized by police and the youth’s parents soon arrived to take them home.
