Policeman Kicking Motorcycle Video Goes Viral

CityNews – A video clip of a police man kicking a motorcycle to stop it from passing his police checkpoint has gone viral on social media, with many netizens criticising his actions.

After the bike was kicked, it swereved and crashed into the side of the road. The man driving the bike fell to the ground and the police man was seen grabbing his collar aggressively.

The incident happened at Nong Hoi intersection, May 28, was filmed on a dash-camera from the car behind.

Police Colonel Piyapan pattarapongsin of Chiang Mai Regional Police Traffic Center has subsequently released a press release clarify about the incident.

The police man who intercepted the motorcycle was Police Senior Sergeant Major Yuttana Sutham, who saw that the driver of the bike was not wearing a helmet so took action to stop him.

The driver, 31-year-old Mr Narong Wannarat, was subsequently found to be carrying methamphetamine, possibly the reason he refused to stop at the checkpoint.

Police were unaware of him carrying any drugs before the arrest was made.

The suspect admitted that the drugs were his and a urine test proved positive for methamphetamine.

Police are now in search of the owner of the video as to ‘clarity and build understanding’ about the consequences of sharing such clips.
