CityNews – The Office of the Narcotics Control Board of Thailand (ONCB) held a seminar to discuss inspection of hemp farms today in Chiang Mai.

Since a cabinet resolution that has approved the use of hemp in permitted areas on 6th September 2016, eight districts have been authorised to grow hemp for research and agricultural purposes. The permitted districts include Samoeng, Fang, Mae Wang, Mae Chaem and Hang Dong. An additional district that is now being proposed is San Sai.

The seminar was held today and will continue tomorrow. The seminar was attended by 150 officers from the ONCB, along with local authorities with an aim to distribute knowledge and information about the monitoring and inspection of hemp farms.
