CityNews – Mother of dead baby found in a Chang Phueak bin told police she didn’t know she was pregnant until she gave birth.
On 20th March, a dead baby was found in a trash bin on Aunsawaree Singh Road, Soi 2, in Chang Phueak.
After a brief investigation, officers identified the mother on CCTV, showing her dumping the early-born infant around midnight the same day. The mother was identified as 31 year old Sirinapa Suttanin from Mae On.
She told police that she was unaware she was pregnant and after taking some pills to cure a stomach ache, she gave birth without realising. She wrapped the infant in a blanket and dumped her in the bins.
Police are waiting on autopsy reports to identify whether the child was born alive or stillborn before pressing charges.
