CityNews – A young man who pretended to be a police officer to trick a young woman into sleeping with him, then stealing her things, has been arrested.
20-year-old Paradon Jompeng from Jom Thong, Chiang Mai, pretended to be a Police Captain, in order to flirt and sleep with the victim. The main point of contact was the LINE chat application.
After flirting and agreeing to sleep together, Paradon visited her apartment where, once she was asleep, he stole all her valuable items and escaped.
The girl immediately informed the police and police used images on the LINE account to trace the identity of the man. Once police identified the man, they arrested him for impersonating a police officer and for tricking a woman into sleeping with him.
