Kwang Vieng Bus Route to Re-start on April 22

CityNews – The Kwang Vieng bus route that transports people from Kwang Vieng Village to the Chiang Mai International Airport will reach D-day on April 22 when they will begin to re-service the city.

Due to economic problems with the project, the buses stopped running earlier this year but are now are ready to run with a new fleet of buses.

Currently the fleet will have six buses with 16 seats, but in August eight more buses with 21 seats from China will join the fleet.

The bus service plans to help reduce congestion in the city by 10-20%.

The Kwan Vieng Bus route will start from Kwan Vieng Village – Chiang Mai Airport Plaza – International Chiang Mai Airport – Suan Dok – Manee Nop Parat Rd. – Chang Phuak Gate – Phra Pok Klao Rd. – Three Kings Monument – Somphet Market – Chang-Moi Road – Waroros Market – Upakut temple – Chang Klan Rd. – Montfort College (Primary) – Sacred Heart Convent School – Regina Coeli College – Sridonchai Rd. – Chiang Mai Gate – Wualai Rd. – Chiang Mai International Airport and back again.
