CityNews – The Iron Man Cyclist has been killed after a fatal crash with a truck on Doi Inthanon.
The cyclist, a 30 year old Bangkok man made famous after dressing up as Iron Man whenever he takes to a cycling event, joined with around 7,500 cyclists across the nation for the 11th Inthanon Challenge cycling event.
The Iron Man Cyclist was on his way back into the city cycling downhill at speed when he overshot a corner and crashed head on with a truck on the opposite side of the road. According to police, emergency services were immediately called but the man later passed away in hospital.
