CityNews – Villagers from Pa Bong in Saraphi have reached out to the press, exposing illegal dumping in the area.
A pile of rubbish in the village is taking over the side of the road near the Mae Kuang stream. Local villagers have reported that there is evidence on the ground that suggests a bulldozer was used to push the trash into the stream that runs parallel to the road.
Although the villagers have put up signs warning people against fly tipping or face a 2,000 baht fine or one month imprisonment, unidentified parties are still dumping on the roadside.
Media has tried to reach the Pabong tambon’s authority but has not received any response.
