CityNews – Thirteen gamblers were rounded up during a sting in Doi Tao District this past Saturday. Villagers had complained to the police that the same group of people had been meeting regularly to play Hi-Lo very openly in spite of gambling being illegal, and they had had enough.
The police arrived in time to make 13 arrests, though they suspect there were more people involve. In total 2,540 baht in cash was found and confiscated along with one set of Hi-Lo and tables and chair set up for gambling. Villagers said that the gamblers had begun to gamble during the day and that they were making very loud and disruptive noise.
