CityNews – Happy Radio 98.5 fm is airing a new programme, Asia Pop 40 this Saturday. The programme is broadcasted throughout various countries across the sea including Australia, China, Singapore and more. The Asia Pop 40 will be aired on Saturdays at 9am and Sundays at 3 – 6pm. Hotspot Media was set up earlier this year to oversee the programming of Surf 102.5FM in Hua Hin and now they have recently added a Thai radio station called Talay 90.25FM in Hua Hin.
Happy Radio 98.5FM in Chiang Mai and Hotspot Media will start following the Hua Hin formula with a predominantly Hot AC music station with BBC World News 24 hours of the day (a 5 minute bullet-in). Local and national news headlines on the half hour throughout the day and eventually presenters on the Breakfast and Drive shows.
