CityNews – Hang Dong has evaded floods from the Mae Tha Chang stream.
On the night of August 27th, the Irrigation Office issued an emergency warning on the water levels of Mae Tha Chang stream which had increased to a critical level. Water was drained out to the Ping River as the local authorities kept a close watch on the situation all night. On the morning of the next day, it was reported that the water levels had receded to a normal level. There has been no report on damaged plantations which the authorities will be investigating later today along with working on clearing out debris stuck at a check dam near Wat Ban Pong.
