Chiang Mai Airport Increases Flights over Chinese New Year

CityNews – Chiang Mai International Airport has revealed that many airlines have requested to increase their flights to handle the influx of passengers over Chinese New Year.

Between February 4th to March 3rd, 2018, many airlines have asked for extra flights to and from Chiang Mai with the most requested from China Eastern Airline which has requested extra flights over the Chinese New Year month.

The estimated number of passengers that pass through Chiang Mai International Airport reaches 35,000 each day, 6,000 of which are from China. The number of passenger has increased 5% from the same time last year.

Due to the high number of passengers passing through the security gates, please spare some time when travelling to the airport as the wait may be longer than usual.
