CityNews – Soldiers, Police and Immigration Officers raided an orange garden in Fang and arrested 30 illegal migrant workers found working without proper documentation.
19 males and 11 females of Burmese nationality and one Cambodian was arrested.
The owner of Doi Lan Orange Garden, 75-year-old Sieping Saetang, was also arrested.
Police were informed that the orange garden was employing illegal workers and request the army to help investigate.
The army were sent to spy on the orange garden, and when significant evidence was collected, the raid was organised.
The migrants confessed to coming to Thailand illegally via natural borders. The workers are awaiting prosection but the owner of the orange garden has been let go.
