Tum Leung Noodle

Thitiwat Tuwapalangul (Tamp), the owner of processed food products, ‘Pinto food & decide’, took the Spoon&Fork team to Tum Leung Noodle, a strangely named but legendary noodle shop in Chiang Mai. Around 25 years ago, when Tamp once was a Chiang Mai university’s student, he often visited the Ivy Gourd Noodle shop. Located near the university, it was both delicious and convenient. Today, the noodle shop still exists, and despite being a busy business man, Tamp always tries to visit once in a while to satisfy his cravings. In fact, his first ever meatball products were sold to the Tum Leung Noodle shop over 10 years ago, and they still use his product today. Recommended dishes include: Tum Leung Noodle (both clear and spicy soups available) Kao Lao (Chinese clear soup with boiled entrails and vegetables), Kanom Jean Nam Ngiew (rice noodles with spicy northern pork sauce) and Khoa-Soi. For the desert is Thai pandan short vermicelli in palm-sugar coconut milk is a must try. Tum Leung Noodle Soi 1 Nimmanhaemin road Open 8.30am – 03.00pm (Closed on the 1-2nd and 15-16th of every month) Tel.
