หลองข้าว Food & Bistro ร้านอาหารและมุมกาแฟบนเรือนไม้ล้านนาโบราณ สัมผัสความงดงามใต้ร่มเงาของ “ต้นสมพงษ์” หรือ “ต้นงุ้น”ในภาษาล้านนา ซึ่งเป็นต้นไม้ขนาดใหญ่อายุมากกว่าเจ็ดร้อยปี มองดูเหล่านกยูงป่าบินรำแพนในช่วงฤดูร้อน และแหวกม่านเมฆหมอกบนเนินทิวเขาในฤดูหนาว
จากนั้นเลือกมุมที่นั่งได้ทั้งบนเรือนไม้ยกสูง หรือเอนกายบนเบาะ ฟังเสียงธารน้ำที่ไหลเอื่อยๆจากยอดเขา แล้วมาเริ่มต้นด้วยเมนูของคาวสไตล์ล้านนาอย่าง หมูทอดน้ำพริกข่า ลิ้มลองน้ำพริกข่า เมนูพิเศษที่ร้านคิดขึ้นมาเอง รสชาติเป็นเอกลักษณ์ไม่เหมือนใคร ต่อด้วย ต้มซี่โครงหมู กับรสชาติเผ็ดจัดจ้านถึงใจ และ ลาบหมูคั่ว ที่เน้นหนักสมุนไพรและเครื่องเทศทำให้มีกลิ่นหอมเป็นพิเศษ เสิร์ฟพร้อมกับผักสดอย่าง แครอท ถั่วฝักยาว และ แตงกวาหั่น ทานคู่กับข้าวเหนียวร้อนๆ จากกระติบจักรสาน ตบท้ายด้วยของหวานอย่างบราวนี่อัลมอนด์ บราวนี่ชาเขียว และบลูเบอรี่ชีสพาย เนื้อแน่นและรสชาติกลมกล่อม มาพร้อมกับครื่องดื่มซิกเนเจอร์สุดเข้มข้นของร้านอย่างกาแฟหลองข้าว เรียกได้ว่าสุขทั้งบรรยากาศ สุขทั้งมื้ออาหารกันเลยทีเดียว
This charming café and bistro is set in a petite rice barn; the upstairs area being the bistro section and the underbelly of the barn serving as the café. There is a large tree which is believed to be over 700 years old as the property’s highlight, though the entire area is covered with trees, flowers and plants. There is a small stream running by and the owners have received permission to set pontoons on it so that weary clients can recline in the cool breeze by the stream while digging into Lanna dishes such as fried pork with galangal chili dip, an original recipe of Lhong Khao. The spare ribs soup is nice and spicy and will keep you warm in the winter months and the classic laab dish is infused with herbs and spices. Make room for the almond or green tea brownies and sip an aromatic Lhong Khao cup of coffee while enjoying a lazy dayout.
