In the heart of the old city sits this lovely boutique hotel which oozes Lanna charm. Surrounded by classical Lanna buildings and glittering temples, and with the Three Kings Monument a mere two minutes’ walk away, this prime location now also serves up excellent pad Thai noodles. Lanna is the focus here and the setting, the décor and the food all tell the story of our local rich culture.
The menu serves up all sorts of Thai and western classics aimed to please an international crowd, but the main highlight of the menu is the delicious pad Thai noodles which uses large grilled river prawns. If you are wanting to try something completely new, they also have another pad Thai alternative and that is the pad Thai spaghetti with shrimps; Thai flavours but Italian pasta.
Now that winter is here, if you are around the old town, stop on by for a fresh cup of coffee at a street-side table and watch the tourists go by, or book a table for dinner and take in the spectacular khon, Thai mask performance of the Ramayana, which is put on Fridays to Sundays from 7pm until 9pm.
