200,000m3 of water being drained from 13 reservoirs

Critically endangered goral found injured on mountain road

A goral, a wild animal which is in the goat family, was seen along the Chiang Mai-Chiang Dao road 2 days ago.  It was immediately noticed that the goral was injured in its legs and appeared startled. Passersby eventually managed to constrain it and take it to a the local wildlife sanctuary where it is being treated.  The goral is considered one of 15 endangered species in Thailand. 

Landslides on Doi Suthep-Pui Road

Sad sight as more monks than the faithful on Visakha Bucha Day

Nearly 700 months brought their Alma bowls to the Naka steps at Doi Suthep temple on Visakha Bucha Day this year, expecting to return to their temples Alma bowls brimming with donations.  Sadly only about 50 devout Buddhists turned up for the occasion.  It is possible though that the walking up the mountain activity that day made it difficult for many to make their way to the temple.
