The Chaem River has overflowed in Tha Kham Sub—District of Hod, following continuous rains and authorities have warned villagers to be vigilant as they closely monitor the situation. Many roads are now closed to traffic.

Woman being rushed to hospital carried over mud after landslide

Landslides across the North don’t just create challenges to motorists and cut power lines, they are proving to be very dangerous. Today a woman was on her way to a hospital when a rescue van was stopped by a landslide. Over 200 metres of road were covered in mud along the Muang Khong-Chiang Dao Road. Kew Mae Pan on Doi Inthanon will be closed, as it always is each year, on the 31st of May for five months so that the ecosystem can rest up and take a breath. Traffic Police installing smart CCTV

The Chiang Mai Traffic Police has announced that it is currently installing numerous smart CCTVs at major intersections and areas along Huay Kaew and Nimmanhaemin Road as well as around the moat.
