Municipality being Criticised for Turning Off the Moat Fountains during Air Pollution Crisis
CityNews – The municipality has been criticised for not turning on the fountains in the moat during the air pollution crisis.
There have been people criticising Chiang Mai Municipality on social media for the inactive fountains around the moat as there have been water trucks spraying water in a [futile] attempt to remedy the air pollution. On March 15th authorities released a statement regarding the criticism, announcing that the 66 fountains around the moat are under maintenance. A new system will be installed starting next month and is expected to be complete by July.
