CityNews – According to Dr. Sarawut Srisakul, director of Chiang Mai Night Safari, following the bomb at Ratchaprasong intersection in Bangkok on August 17th, the Chiang Mai Night Safari has set up two walk-through metal detectors at the entrance of the park in order to create safety for employees and visiting tourists.
The detectors will be in place until the situation is believed to be back to normal.
The machines are at the same standards as those used at Chiang Mai International Airport, added Dr Sarawut. If the detectors detect suspicious objects, the officials will use a scanning machine, called Hand Tell to examine the objects.
The 33rd Military Circle, has also sent soldiers to aid with security issues by setting up in the inspiection area as well as the employee motorbike’s area. Action will be taken immediately. Said Dr. Sarawut, should suspicious motorcycles be found.
