Hunter Shot to Death at National Park

CityNews – A hunter was shot to death in the forest. Police suspected that he was mistaken by another group of hunters.

The body of Chairai Saewa, 31, was found in Op Luang National Park, Chom Thong District. Injuries on his body revealed that he was shot to death. He was reportedly hunting in the forest. At the scene, police found a Bluetooth speaker and a smart phone belonging to the deceased. His phone contains a variety of animal sounds which led police to believe that the shooter might be using the sounds to lure animals but was mistaken as game himself by other hunters.

The Superintendent of Doi Inthanon National Park who was tasked to identify the area of the shooting which is confirmed to be Op Luang National Park, stated that the deceased is not on the firefighting team. Police are now investigating for the suspect.
