Chiang Mai Clean Air Bicycle Parade 2

To all group members and residents of Chiang Mai, the Chiang Mai Breathe Council is organizing a bike ride this 19 January 2020 led by the governor of chiang mai. The Chiang Mai Breathe Council will arrange 30 bikes for those that want to join.

We will meet at the Three Kings Monument at 8am and go around the old town, finishing at Thae Phae gate at 9am.

For those walking, meet us at 9am in Thae Phae gate.

Program:

– 08.00 – 09.00 hrs. – Bike ride led by the governor of Chiang Mai. The Chiang Mai Breathe Council will arrange 30 bikes.
– 09.00 hrs. – Meet at Tha Pae Gate (Bicycle riding procession to join)

11.00 – 12.00 hrs. – Panel: The expat community fights the smoke

13.00 – 14.00 hrs. – Presenting the knowledge of dust in the city by Chiang Mai University

Exhibitions to equip the communities for Chiang Mai’s clean air
At the Three Kings Monument courtyard, and Chiang Mai Art and Culture Center
1. Booth Snake Ladders vs Dust Game giving away 14 plants to fight dust: green against dust.
2. Booth to reduce the use of plastic bags, organic fertilizer production, biochar production, leaf packaging production: Bureau of Environment, Region and Civil Society
3. Booth “Reduce Smoke in the City”: Chiang Mai University
4. Booth “Innovation against Smoke Dust”: Mae Jo University
5. Booth of good quality secondhand products to raise funds for “Chiang Mai Breath Fund”
6. Booth Clean Energy Clean Air Technology: Ministry of Energy
7. Booths of the business sector to reduce smoke: the use of clean energy, biochar, air quality measuring device with analysis program, etc.: Hotels, Monsoon Tea, Warm Heart Foundation

Everyone is welcome to participate, especially if you care about Chiang Mai air quality, your families health and the environment. Please share far and wide so we may attract as many people who care about Chiang Mai as possible.
