Chiang Mai has a very active music community both Thai and international. Live music is available every night of the year with music venues, pubs and bars always popular and regularly attended. Every genre is catered for so if you like laid back jazz or headbanging metal you will find it in town. Some venues also hold jam sessions and invite all-comers to participate.
