Citylife is happy to announce an upcoming art exhibition by Marcos Malinowsky. Opening on 16 November from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at the Baan Tuek Art Centre, come by for an evening showcase of Malinowsky’s latest work. The exhibit will also be open from the 17-30 of November between 10am-6pm (close on Monday)
Originally born in Poland, Malinowsky has been living a life of inspiration, adventure and most importantly, creativity. After earning a degree in architecture and studying art for two years in his hometown, Malinowsky immigrated to the United States to pursue his dreams with only seven dollars in his pocket. Through hard work and a “little bit of luck,” he says, Malinowsky was able to open his own studio in a prestigious region of Chicago with a focus on designing furniture out of glass and plexiglass.
Not only is Malinowsky an artist, he is a storyteller and adventurer. After Malinowsky sold his business, he bought a four wheel drive vehicle and lived in the coastal areas of Central America for eight years. He then made his way to Chiang Mai where he settled down for the next seventeen years. Just like how he carried his creativity and art all over the world, it came to Chiang Mai as well. In his long-awaited solo exhibition, Malinowsky debuts his stories through thought provoking mixed media collages. Dive his exhibition that focuses on pieces of Malinowsky’s personal life and understanding of what art means. Maybe even formulate your own definition of art along the way. Regardless, it will be a worthwhile experience.
Be sure to stop by the Baan Tuek Art Centre and take a look at Malinowsky’s work!
