U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai Invites Public to American Film Retrospective Celebrating 250 Years of American Independence

The U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai invites the public to enjoy a weekend of classic American cinema at the American Film Retrospective 2026, presented as part of the Freedom 250 celebration marking the 250th anniversary of American independence.

The event will take place on Saturday–Sunday, August 1–2, 2026, at the Auditorium Building (A3), Far Eastern University, Chiang Mai. Admission is free, and no reservation is required.

Audiences will enjoy a selection of classic American films presented in English with Thai subtitles, along with complimentary popcorn throughout the event. A film schedule and parking map are available for attendees.
