Chiang Mai organizes “Chiang Mai Night” to welcome entrepreneurs from over 51 countries and hand over the TTM+ 2026 host flag to Chonburi Province.
Today, June 5, 2025, Chiang Mai Province, together with the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization, organized the “Chiang Mai Night” event at the Chiang Mai Club, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province, to welcome tourism entrepreneurs from over 51 countries around the world and hand over the Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) symbol flag to the host in the following year.
During the event, Mr. Nirat Phongsitthawat, Governor of Chiang Mai Province, welcomed the participants, along with Mr. Pichai Lertpongadisorn, President of the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization, who spoke about the province’s readiness to host TTM+ 2025.
During the event, the symbolic flag for hosting was handed over. Mr. Pichai Lertpongadisorn, President of the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization, handed over the flag to Chonburi Province, which will host TTM+ 2026. Chonburi Province has potential in international tourism, including famous marine tourist attractions and ready infrastructure. and convenient connectivity
In addition, Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, witnessed the flag handover and congratulated the new host.
The “Chiang Mai Night” event showcased Lanna arts and culture, local food, and venue decorations that reflected the friendliness, uniqueness, and beauty of Chiang Mai residents to impress participants and reinforce Chiang Mai’s image as a world-class tourist city. More than 400 tourism operators from 51 countries worldwide attended the event.
This event is another important step for Chiang Mai in elevating itself to the international tourism stage and preparing to drive sustainable growth in the tourism economy in the future.
