Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2025 to welcome 400 global buyers from 51 countries with over 13,000 business appointments expected
Chiang Mai, 4 June 2025 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with Chiang Mai Province and various public and private sector partners, officially opens Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) 2025 today at the Royal Park Rajapruek, Chiang Mai. The event, running through
6 June, marks a strategic platform to strengthen Thailand’s tourism industry, boost international arrivals, and spotlight the country’s growing emphasis on sustainable tourism.
Mr. Wiraphong Rhitrot, Vice Governor of Chiang Mai Province, expressed pride in welcoming TTM+ back to Chiang Mai, highlighting the northern city’s rich culture, heritage, and natural beauty. “Chiang Mai is fully prepared to offer warm hospitality and seamless logistics for all delegates. This event reinforces Chiang Mai’s standing as a leading tourism hub and supports local and regional economic development.”
This year’s edition of TTM+ gathers 400 international buyers from 51 countries and territories, engaging in over 13,000 business appointments with 450 Thai tourism sellers from across the country. These include hotels, resorts, tour operators, and sustainable travel providers. The event also welcomes more than 100 media representatives and National Tourism Organisations (NTOs) from neighbouring GMS and South Asian countries, including Cambodia, Myanmar, and Bhutan.
Mrs. Chiravadee Khunsub, TAT Deputy Governor for Europe, the Americas, Middle East, and Africa, noted that TTM+2025 aims to create meaningful business opportunities between Thai tourism operators and global buyers. “This year’s event not only includes long-established source markets, but also introduces emerging markets with high growth potential. It’s a key platform for new partnerships and promoting lesser-known Thai destinations to the world.”
A major highlight of TTM+2025 is its enhanced focus on sustainability. Among the 450 sellers, 185 are certified eco-friendly businesses, including Thailand Tourism Award winners, TAT’s STAR certified operators, and participants in the Carbon Free Hotels (CF Hotels) programme. TAT is working towards making TTM+2025 a Carbon Neutral Event through carbon footprint tracking, waste segregation for recycling, and offsetting all emissions generated from the event.
Dr. Thiraphat Tanphiriyakun, Deputy Chief Executive of Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organisation, added, “The ‘Chiang Mai Night’ welcome reception will celebrate Lanna culture through traditional performances, local cuisine, and heartfelt hospitality – offering guests a truly memorable experience of northern Thailand.”
TTM+ 2025 features a robust programme, including:
• Thailand Product Update – providing insights into the country’s tourism trends and new offerings
• TTM Talk – under the theme “The Soul of Thailand: 3F Essentials”, focusing on Thailand’s charm through Food, Festival, and Film
• Product Showcases – under “The Wisdom and Wellness Experience”, blending northern Thai traditions with wellness innovations
• Travel Tech Showcase – highlighting tourism innovation and AI solutions
• Pre and Post Tours – offering immersive experiences in Chiang Mai, Lampang, Phrae, Nan, and extended tours to Phetchaburi, Khon Kaen, Surat Thani, and Prachuap Khiri Khan, with an emphasis on local identities, soft power, and sustainability.
The event receives strong support from strategic partners including Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd., Central Pattana PCL, King Power International, Thai Lion Air, and Frasers Property Thailand.
TAT anticipates that TTM+ 2025 will generate 4.29 billion Baht in tourism revenue, reaffirming Thailand’s position as a top destination for meaningful and sustainable travel.
