Thai International Vegetarian Association Opens New Office on World Vegetarian Day On October 1st, in celebration of World Vegetarian Day, the Thai International Vegetarian Association (TIVA) inaugurated its new office at: 15/14 Moo 5, Mae Hia Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province 50100 The ceremony began with traditional Thai monk chanting and was honored by the presence of Mr. Pranav Ganesh, Indian Consul in Chiang Mai, as the Guest of Honor. Founded by Dr. Maitree Suttarjit, TIVA has been promoting vegetarianism in Thailand for over 30 years. The association has successfully hosted three World Vegetarian Conferences in 1999, 2012, and 2023, where scholars from around the world presented their research and insights. Membership & Activities • Open to both Thai and international members • TIVA welcomes proposals for workshops and seminars, and can provide expert speakers upon request
