Rugby Tournament at Varee Chiang Mai School

Lanna Lions host the Bangkok Lions in the battle of the lions!
On a warm and humid day in Chiang Mai the Lanna Lions Rugby Club hosted the Bangkok Lions, Prince Royal College and Doi Tao Rugby club. It was great to see 6 teams compete in a round robin event for the U12 and U14 teams.
The day was organised by Lanna Lions Head of Youth Rugby, Thomou, and there was more than enough French flair to enjoy.
‘It’s so great to be able to host a youth touring team to Chiang Mai’ said Matt Hirst, the Director of Rugby at Lanna Lions. ‘It just shows that some of the hard work from the coaches abs the rugby community is starting to pay dividends. Thank you to Bangkok Lions for travelling for coming all the way up and for their coaches and commitment. Thanks you Doi Tao for travelling to Chiang Mai and for the support from Prince Royal College.’
Afterwards, at the Freerolls Bar, the Bangkok Lions made a donation to the children from the Kids Ark Foundation of shorts, socks, boots and shirts.
