Experience nature’s most breathtaking wonders of the year at the Flora Festival 2025. The Flora Festival is the annual signature event of the Royal Park Rajapruek under the Highland Research and Development Institute. The festival honours the royal initiatives of the Thai monarchs and pays tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. It also showcases the institute’s achievements in highland development.
Today, the park is home to more than 25,000 plant species, accredited as an international-standard botanical garden by BGCI and recognised by ArbNet as a professional arboretum, further strengthening Chiang Mai’s position as a leading tourism destination.
Royal Park Rajapruek remains committed to its roadmap toward carbon neutrality by 2027 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. The park has been certified with the Carbon Footprint for Organisation (CFO) and received the CALO award for climate leadership in 2024. These milestones reflect its long-term dedication to natural resource conservation, efficient resource use, carbon reduction, and its role as a national model for sustainable environmental management.
With its outstanding achievements, the park has continued to earn national and international accolades, including a place on the Green Destinations Top 100 Stories 2025 list for the project “Thailand’s First Net-Zero Botanical Garden Living Lab,” and two prestigious Thailand Tourism Awards (Kinaree Awards) 2025:
• Excellence Award – Sustainable Tourism Support & Promotion Organization
• Sustainability Award – “Flora Festival: Blooming with Flowers, Growing with Community Spirit”
Flora Festival 2025: Bloom for the Future
This year’s festival, held from 17th November 2025 to 28th February 2026, embraces the theme “Bloom for the Future”, expressed through three core pillars — Blossoms, Biodiversity & Breaths. The concept reflects the interconnectedness between the beauty of flora, the richness of biodiversity, and the planet’s sustainable future.
Visitors will enjoy newly designed gardens, vibrant highlights, and more than 30 plant categories across 100 species, including over 15,000 carbon-measured perennial trees. The festival also features spectacular displays of cool-climate flowers grown by farmers under the Royal Project Foundation and Highland Development initiatives — supporting local livelihoods while delighting guests throughout the season.
Key attractions include: Orchid Pavilion, Flower Dome, Bug World, Shaded Plant House, Rose Dome, ‘Three Forests, Four Benefits” Conservation Zone. All of which offer both beauty and educational value.
