Media Meet & Greet with U.S. Consul General

U.S. Consul General Sean O’Neill held a ‘Media Meet & Greet’ evening at Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort.  He explained this year marks the 70^th anniversary of the establishment of the U.S. Consulate General in Chiang Mai. With the oldest foreign Consulate in northern Thailand, the United States has long collaborated with Thai partners to cure diseases and advance public health, build schools, promote education, fight drug trafficking and transnational crime and create industries to bring prosperity to the Thai and American people. This year, the U.S. Consulate General will begin construction of a new U.S. Consulate compound at the Chiang Mai Business Park. This project will inject an estimated USD $45 million into the local economy and employ over 400 local workers.
