Launch of U.S. Northwest Cherries at Rimping Nim City Daily
August 7
Launch of U.S. Northwest Cherries “Savor a Sweet Cherry Moment” at Rimping Supermarket, Nim City Daily.
Leah George, Acting Consul General Chiang Mai explained in her address “ This campaign celebrates the exceptional taste, quality, and freshness of U.S. Northwest cherries—a product that truly embodies the best of American agriculture. This campaign, brought to us by Northwest Cherry Growers in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service, highlights the strong partnership between the United States and Thailand in agricultural trade and consumer engagement. Sweet cherries are an example of the quality and flavor that U.S. agriculture is known for. They are the second-largest U.S. fresh fruit export category to Thailand, following apples, and their popularity. Last year, U.S. cherry exports to Thailand reached a record 340 million Thai baht ($10.5 million), demonstrating the enthusiasm Thai consumers have for this premium product.
• But today’s event is more than just a celebration of a delicious fruit—it is a testament to the enduring trade relationship between our two countries. Thailand is one of the United States’ most valued agricultural partners, and campaigns like this one strengthen the bonds between our producers, retailers, and consumers. And as we approach Thailand’s Mother’s Day celebration next week, l’d like to suggest that sweet cherries make for a thoughtful and delicious gift to honor the mothers in our lives”.
The “Savor a Sweet Cherry Moment” promotion will last until next month.
