Lap Mu Festival at Kad Suan Kaew
The annual Lap Mu Festival at Kad Suan Kaew. Lap Mu is a lanna food dish usually made with pork with blood and boiled organs which are thinly sliced) mixed with chili paste for lap – it is eaten raw (without cooking). Local restaurants, hotels and other businesses compete in the mincing of the pork using two large knives. The festival also includes a competition to design a display of fruit and veg, a beauty contest, and music well into the evening.
