Fran Li is an expat who has called Chiang Mai home for the past two years. Originally from Korea and having lived in several countries around the world, she brings a global perspective and a passion for human connection to everything she does.
Fran is the creator and host of the YouTube channel “Fran’s Fresh Start in Chiang Mai,” where she shares inspiring stories, local discoveries, retirement lifestyle insights, and the experiences of expats building new lives in Northern Thailand.
Beyond her online presence, Fran is known for her active role in fostering community in Chiang Mai. She hosts popular weekly gatherings that bring together locals, expats, digital nomads, and retirees seeking meaningful connections. Every Monday at 5:00 PM, she leads the CMU Sunset Walking Group, and every Thursday at 6:00 PM, she hosts interactive community events at Spice Garden focused on designing and creating one’s best life in Chiang Mai.
