Central Chiangmai Unveils Chiang Mai’s First Grand Christmas Tree Under “THE MAGICAL STARS 2026” in Collaboration with The Walt Disney Company (Thailand)

Central Chiangmai has officially launched the city’s most spectacular Christmas tree for the first time, under the enchanting concept THE MAGICAL STARS 2026, a special collaboration between Central Chiangmai and The Walt Disney Company (Thailand). The Light Up Christmas Tree Celebration 2026 transforms the entire shopping centre into a world-class fairytale wonderland, featuring a dazzling stage performance and a special appearance by ELSA, bringing the magic and joy of the festive season to life. The event aims to attract visitors from across the globe, strengthening Chiang Mai’s position as the Global Destination of the North.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Weeraphong Ritrod, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai, joined by Mr. Ittirat Sinarak, Director of Chiang Mai Provincial Tourism and Sports Office, Ms. Kannyapak Posirin, General Manager of Central Chiangmai, Mr. Weerachot Thirawayamkul, Northern Region Marketing Director, Ms. Chanatcha Phakakart, Branch Manager of Central Department Store Chiang Mai, and Ms. Mathuros Suthanyaraks, Marketing Manager of Central Chiangmai. The celebration also featured a special T-POP concert by artist Jackie Jackrin.

For the past 15 years, Central Chiangmai has remained committed to its role as a “Place Maker”, dedicated to elevating quality of life and creating meaningful, inspiring experiences for the Chiang Mai community. Visitors can immerse themselves in the grand year-end festive atmosphere from 14 November 2025 to 5 January 2026 at Central Chiangmai (Central Festival).
