Dr. Adisorn Suddee, CEO of MGY Entertainment Co., Ltd., has been appointed President of the Northern Film & Digital Media Association (NTFD). From a small beginning, a significant transformation has unfolded with the integration of a network of storytellers, creators, and media industry drivers. Entrepreneurs, producers, artists, actors, directors, and writers, both in-front and behind-the-scenes, have joined forces under the association to connect regional potential and continue its mission of driving the entertainment industry in various dimensions, opening the door to opportunities at both the national and international levels. Chiang Mai Province has the potential to serve as a hub for conventions and exhibitions. Chiang Mai is an international MICE city and a world-class tourism hub. It boasts a wealth of infrastructure, transportation, and logistics, including hotels and convention centers of international standards. It boasts a diverse range of tourist attractions, a long history, valuable historical sites, arts, culture, and beautiful nature, all of which have been conveyed through numerous domestic and international films. The Northern Film and Digital Media Association has therefore conceived the concept of organizing the “1st Chiang Mai International Film Festival 2025,” the first of its kind in the region. This event will integrate collaboration between public and private organizations to develop the film industry, which plays a crucial role in promoting cultural values. This will promote Thailand’s soft power in various dimensions, leading to a long-term increase in tourism, driving the economy, trade, and investment, and proudly enhancing the city and the country’s image internationally.
