Book launch The Social Life of Teak at École française d’Extrême-Orient

A Book launch – “The Social Life of Teak,” by authors Tim Webster & Virginia Henderson at École française d’Extrême-Orient (EFEO).
The Launch included a video presentation and discussion with the authors. Tim and Virginia presented their illustrated anthology of oral histories, bringing to light the ways that teak in this region has been sought, crafted, cultivated, traded and valued over time. There was also be an exhibition of Tim’s photos and an exhibition from Inson Wongsam, a Thai national artist renowned for his work using teak.
