Chiang Mai Prepares to Host “BLOOM AHOLIC” Event to Drive Sustainable Flower Economy Towards the Future
Chiang Mai Province is preparing to host BLOOM AHOLIC: Falling in Love with Flowers, Falling in Love with Chiang Mai on Sunday, July 26, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Meechok Plaza, Chiang Mai. This event will serve as a platform to connect farmers, entrepreneurs, government agencies, businesses, educational institutions, and research institutes to promote the sustainable growth of Chiang Mai’s flower economy.
The event will include a forum, “Falling in Love with Flowers, Falling in Love with Chiang Mai,” where representatives from the government, academics, researchers, and farmer networks will exchange ideas on upgrading the flower industry. This includes production according to GAP standards, the development of edible flowers, flower teas, processed products, botanical tourism, and creating added value through the MICE, food, and beverage industries.
In addition, there will be exhibitions and booths from flower grower networks, community enterprises, entrepreneurs, educational institutions, and research institutes, along with workshops that will allow participants to experience the development of Chiang Mai flowers into creative and high-value products.
Another key highlight of the event… This is a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization and the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR) to promote the application of research, science, technology, and innovation to support the development of flower-based products, generate income for farmers and communities, and elevate the economy of Chiang Mai province in the long term.
