New Chiang Mai Governor Pledges to Move Chiang Mai Forward

CityNews – On 1st October at 10.15 a.m. the new Chiang Mai Governor Wichian Puttiwinyu arrived with his wife and daughter at Chiang Mai Airport.

Firstly the family paid their respects at various holy places around Chiang Mai, starting at The White Elephant Monument, and moving onto Chiang Yuen Temple, White Elephant Gate, Three Kings Monument, Sadue Muang Temple and Chiang Man Temple. The governor then went on to Chiang Mai Hall to meet with other officials.

Wichian said that PM Yingluck Shinawatra had asked that he tackle important issues while in the northern capital, including getting the city ready for AEC, working with the Pinkanakorn Development Agency, developing the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek, and also The International Convention and Exhibition Centre. 

The governor promised he would to do his best for Chiang Mai.
