CityNews – Former massage parlour owner turned politician Chuwit Kamolvisit was attacked February 2nd by a man in the street who took the 53 year old by surprise with a punch to the head.

Moments before he was struck

Chuwit immediately struck back, as did a handful of angry bodyguards. The man, bruised and beaten, was then dragged away in front of many television cameras.

Chuwit has made it clear that he has zero tolerance for anyone who tries to interfere with the elections and so he has earned himself some criticism from anti-democracy protestors.

He was struck whilst walking in a large group of mostly men on Rachadapisek Soi 3 in Bangkok.
