CityNews – A homeless man and a 73 year old woman have died from the heat.
On May 6th, the body of a man was found under the Chaloem Phrakiat bridge in Don Kaew, Mae Rim District. The body appears to have no injuries. Police suspected him to be in his 40s. He had no belongings and was wearing only shorts. A vendor who found the body stated that the man was a homeless man who was usually around, and this morning she tried to wake him up but received no response. Suspecting that he might be dead, she called the police. The cause of death was concluded to be from dehydration from the heat and possible congenital disease.
On the same day in Mae Kha, Fang District, another body was discovered at a longan farm. Oung Lung-wunna, 73, was attending a gathering at her relative’s house. She was found lying on the ground. Police concluded that she might have fainted and eventually died from the heat.
