CityNews – In Fang district on the morning of 26th June, 400 local people came together to plant trees on hills under the forestation project led by Royal Agricultural Station Angkhang and Royal Project Foundation.
The activity aims to encourage people to have a keen awareness of the environment and to conserve the nation’s natural resources.
Under the forestation project, Angkhang people are able to come together to plant all different types of trees and vegetation under the idea of HM the King’s: to plant trees instead of opium.
An estimated 16,000 trees were planted.
