Train hits car, family all alive

CityNews – 4th February 2020, police officers from Saraphi police station, after receiving a reports of a train hitting a car, rushed to the scene at a level crossing between the railway and road in Yang Nueng, Saraphi district, Chiang Mai.

At the scene of the accident, they found a badly damaged black Toyota Vios. Rescue team helped a family of three and brought them to a hospital while the damaged car was later towed to Saraphi police station.


Initial investigation revealed that Ronachai,  the father, was driving with his wife and daughter on the way to school and at the intersection with railway he didn’t see that a barrier was already in place for an coming train.  The car was on the railway track when it was hit by the train.  Fortunately, there were some injuries but no fatalities.
