Three Dead and Two Children Injured in Phitsanulok Crash

CityNews – On 28th April at 1:30 pm, three people were killed and two injured when a pick-up truck collided with an 18-wheel truck on Uttaradit – Phitsanulok Road, Amphur Prompiram, Phitsanulok.

At the scene a bronze Toyota truck with minor front-end damage was discovered with two children trapped inside: a two-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl. A rescue team took the children to Prompiram and Watboth hospitals. The bodies of a three-year-old boy, and a woman in the driver’s seat were found at the scene. Both had succumbed to their injuries. A teenager was also found dead lying near the truck.

Witnesses said the 18-wheel truck was trying to park at the roadside when the Toyota smashed into it.

The police from Prompiram Police station have already investigated the scene and suspect that the Toyota truck driver might have fallen asleep; however, they will continue to investigate.
