CityNews – The cabinet has approved a 261 million baht budget for flood relief targeting 12 provinces in the northern region including Kamphaeng Phet, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nakorn Sawan, Payao, Phichit, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Phare, Lampang, Sukhothai and Uttaradit. The budget will be funneled to 78 Irrigation Department projects and is expected to increase a total of 2.8 million cubic metres of water storage, benefiting 41,100 rai of land and over 34,000 households during the next few months.
