CityNews – Mae Kuang water levels are increasing.

Recent continuous rainfall has raised the level of water in Mae Kuang Dam. Janesak Limpiti, the Director of Mae Kuang Udom Thara revealed on August 5th that in the past seven days, 4.7 million cubic metres of water has flowed into the dam. The figure, however, is still less than the same seven day period last year which saw an increase of 6.2 million cubic meters.

According to Thaiwater.net, today Mae Kuang dam has 18% of its water capacity while Mae Ngad Dam has reached 31% of its capacity.

The Northern Meteorological Center says that this “Wipa” depression will lead to heavy rainfall in several parts of Thailand’s northern region until August 10th. Citizens are warned of flash floods and mudslides.
