CityNews – Songtaews filed a complaint against Grab Car business, again.
On May 16th at the city hall, a group of songtaews, taxi and tuk tuk drivers, totalling about 30 people filed a complaint against Grab Car business citing Vehicle Act, B.E. 2522 that such business is illegal. They also raised concerns over official warning signs at the airport and bus stations which are to notify Grab Drivers that hey are prohibited from operating, but are not effective, and demand some action from the authorities. The decrease in their income has reportedly led them to the edge of debt. The petition is officially received by the deputy governor of Chiang Mai who promises to take it for further discussion
