CityNews – On 22nd May, there was a report on social media which went viral about a group of young students from a local technical college who stepped in to assist an injured person following an accident on the night before (21st May).
Following an accident which saw a woman injured following a road accident, a group of students, dressed in Chiang Mai Technical College uniforms, who were driving past jumped into action, covering the injured person with umbrellas to ward off the rain, directing traffic, calling an ambulance, and working together until the injured person was taken to hospital.
Technical College students nationwide get a bad rep in Thailand, often being involved in deadly brawls and gang-like warfare. It was therefore heartening for so many people to see a group take such decisive and compassionate action, and praises have been very abundant on social media.
