The Chiang Mai Municipality has announced that skateboarding is no longer allowed in the area around the Three Kings Monument.
According to authorities, CCTV footage from the 19th January showed some skateboarders using government property (traffic barriers) as props for skateboarding, while others skated up the marble steps of the Three Kings Monument, causing some damage to the marble.
The municipality has therefore officially banned any skateboarding in the area.
